Parents' proof of income for Student Allowance application

A Student Allowance is a weekly payment that can help with your living expenses while you’re studying.

If you're single and under 24, your student allowance rate will depend on either your income or your parents' income.

Salary and wage earners

You can download your summary of earnings or personal tax summary by getting your parents to log into their myIR account and selecting ‘salary/wages’ on the homepage.

If you receive interest income as well, you can request this information from your financial institution.

Business income earners

If your parents are business income earners, you should complete the Student Allowance Parents Income worksheet.

You can find more information about parents' income on the MSD Studylink website
