If you don't agree with any of your student loan details contact us. We'll work with you to sort out the problem.

Contact us if you don't agree with any of the following:

  • your total loan balance
  • a repayment obligation (assessment)
  • a decision about your New Zealand-based or overseas based borrower status
  • a special deduction rate that we’ve declined or approved for the wrong rate
  • a repayment deduction exemption that we've declined or cancelled
  • an extra repayment deduction rate notice
  • a decision about significant over-deductions
  • interest or late payment interest charged
  • a decision about financial hardship relief
  • a decision not to grant a repayment holiday.

If we can't resolve the issue with you, you may need to raise a dispute or complaint.

If your payment is from salary or wages

Your employer has until the 20th of the following month to send these to us. The balance shown on your account may not include your most recent repayments. We need to process the payments before allocating them to your student loan.

If you disagree with any StudyLink transactions on your student loan statement you'll need to contact StudyLink.
