IR3NR Non-resident income tax return 2016

1 April 2015 to 31 March 2016

Use this service once you have received your document lodgement number (DLN) letter or your IR3NR income tax return in the mail and are ready to file it online with us.

The numbers to the right of each box of the online return correspond to the question numbers on the paper IR3NR return. This means you can use the IR3NR guide to help explain each step when filing online.

You will need:

  • Your income details for the 2015-2016 period. This typically includes your summary of earnings, any interest or dividends information, rental income and any overseas income.
  • Your IRD number - if you don't have this call us on 0800 377 774 or +64 4 978 0779 if calling from overseas.
  • The DLN for your 2016 IR3NR. This is the 14-character number printed either in the text of the letter we sent you or at the top right and bottom of your paper return. If you don't have this number either call us on 0800 377 774 or +64 4 978 0779 if calling from overseas or download a printable return to complete and return by post.
  • Access to a printer. You must print a copy of your return so please ensure your computer is connected to a printer.

When you have submitted this return please print the receipt page, sign and date it and keep it for your tax records.

Unless you have an extension of time you need to submit your IR3NR by 7 July 2016.
