We'll be closed over the holiday period from 2pm on Tuesday 24 December until Monday 6 January in 2020. You can find out how this will affect our individual services on our contact us page, or by reading below.
Our contact centres will close at 2pm on Tuesday 24 December, and will remain closed until Monday 6 January 2020 when normal hours will resume.
Our 0800 self-service numbers are unavailable from 5am Wednesday 25th of December and will resume normal hours from 6am Friday 27th of January 2020.
myIR Secure Online Services will be available throughout the holiday season however, from 5am on 25 December to 6am on 27 December 2019, some features and functionality will be unavailable.
The E-File system and helpdesk will be unavailable from midday on 24 December until 3 January 2020.
Please note: if you send us a Secure Mail over this period we won’t start responding until after we return on 6 January 2020 (we aim to respond within 15 working days from this date).
Our offices will close at 2pm on 24 December and normal hours will resume from 6 January 2020.
The upcoming Working for Families payments will not be affected over the holiday period.
The weekly and fortnightly Working for Families Tax Credits (WfFTC) payment due on Tuesday 24 December 2019 and Tuesday 31 December 2019 will be paid on these dates as usual. The process dates in the Working for Families section of myIR will be different from the payment date. Weekly payments will be Tuesday 24 or Wednesday 25 December (Christmas Day) and Tuesday 31 December or Wednesday 1 January (New Year's Day). Fortnightly payments will be Tuesday 31 December or 1 January (New Year's Day).
